Recognising DVD

Beitrag von JohnJeff » 08.10.2007, 23:37

I recently upgraded to DVD Studio Pro version 1.70. I had some problems authoring some files so, after looking at replies in the forum I uninstalled DVD Studio Pro and re-installed it. Now the program does not recognise any DVD media. I have tried to work with different files and different DVD disks but in the window titled "size of DVD media" the figure is always "0". I have tried to update my DVD driver but am informed it is already up to date.

Can you advise what the problem might be, please?

Have you tried to use a different DVD-writer interface? Open the window "Settings" select the tab "DVD-writer" and change the interface to "ASPI". Then restart the software and try again.
If you have multiple DVD-writers, make sure you have selected the right one.

Thanks for your reply.

I have changed the setting to "ASPI" but the problem remains. I do not have multiple DVD writers.

Well - I'm a bit out of options now. Did you install the software on a different user account than you are using it now?

Recognising DVD

Beitrag von JohnJeff » 10.10.2007, 23:39

I don't think so. I used my normal username, customer number and password to log on to the site then downloaded the software.

I do not know why but today, after trying again, DVD-Studio pro now seems to recognise my DVD writer so the problem appears to have corrected itself!

Thank you for your help anyway.
