DVD Authoring hangs with 1.70
DVD Authoring hangs with 1.70
I've just encountered a second case of DVD Authoring hanging using v1.70. I thought the first was a one-off.
I'm using DVD Wizard, demuxing (2 titles) works fine but authoring hangs during the first title. CPU is still busy but it won't Cancel but Help button, Show logfile etc do work so it does seem partly locked. Had to close using Task Manager though.
I'll see if I can find a workround but any ideas? I've got the logfile (loglevel=3) if it's of use.

Hi Ralf
Thanks for the reply. There may well be an error in the stream but the software needs to handle it.
I wish I had time to try to find the point in the film where the error occurs, even just to help you guys out but sadly I don't. In fact the reason I *bought* your software after trying it out was because it worked and it didn't take me any to learn how to use it.
I'm happy to send you the .ts file (2.3Gb from Humax 9200T) either by ftp or on by post a DVD-R. I do like your software and want to support you in developing it.
Best Regards
Dave

After about 80% of the authoring the CPU activity goes up and disc accesses stop so it looks to me like the software has got stuck in a loop somewhere. Looking at the demux log I can see there are a few dropped frames during the demux but not many.

SAME PROBLEM HERE!
I had not been burning DVD for a few months, and was not surprised to find a new version (1.75). I installed it, and now I cannot burn anymore.
Just thrown away 3 DVDs.
It hangs at about 80%, and have to kill it.
After 4-5 hours, it says it still have a few hours to go.
Apparently it's still alive, but it takes ages to go on.

Ok, I've just tried the following..
1.70 Intern, locked up during authoring
upgraded RAM from 512M to 1G (overdue upgrade!)
1.70 Intern, locked up again
1.70 ASPI, locked up again
1.75 Intern, locked up again
about to give up then I found the install files for 1.40 and reinstalled.
1.40 didn't lock up during authoring and is now the burn phase and I'm off to bed.

I will try that and get back to you.

I do not know, where the problem is. I played with it about 7 hours and found only one solution. I returned to version 1.56, all works as before and I am happy with it. Versions 1.64, 1.66 and 1.75 don't work for me.Kimi hat geschrieben:It looks like there is a problem in the audio packetizing. Could you please increase or add the last cut-area, in order to shorten the movie by 2 or 3 seconds at the end?
