Hello Bluesky3,
you have store your records on the local hard drive?
Normally you can open these files with DVR-Studio Pro (only SD) or DVR-Studio HD (SD + HD)
If these records from a pay TV station, please check you play it without the pay-TV-card. If you can't play it in the receiver, these records are crypted. In this case we can't use it.

Hello Ralf,
Thanks very much for your quick answer.
I have transferred the vid files from the receiver Humax PVR-8000 on an external HD.
The files are not from a pay-TV station, and I can play them in my receiver without any problem.
But I can not play them on my computer (vid files unknown from Windows or any other player that I know).

Hello Bluesky320,
that's correct. These file is a transport stream. But you can play it in DVR-Studio HD 1.x or 2.x.
Have a look at these video:

Hello Bluesky320,
in this case the best solution is DVR-Studio HD 1.x, because so you have an player and the program is for the future: He can SD AND HD.
DVR-Studio has no player and only can SD.

On our support site under DVR-Products you will find futher videos.

Hi,
there is no difference in quality between ts or m2ts.
Just take the one which is easier to playback for you.
M2TS might be more supported. Free players for PC are mPlayer or VLC.
Concerning the frizzes:
Did you have a try running the error analysis? (the red icon with the flashlight on right top)
This will analys the recording to errors referred to signal loss (e.g. bad weather).
If the analysis detects some errors please transform the error definitions into cut definitions. You can do this by selecting those and press a button below the definition list.
Then process your project again.
If it frizzes again please send us a support request (under Help & Manual). The software will attach the logfiles automatically. Just add a clear error description and we will have a look what went wrong.
Best regards
Sascha

Hi Sascha,
I tried again to save the Humax files into 1) m2ts and then into 2) ts.
Eventhough they both freezed again, I nevertheless let the software finish the work.
At the end, I got the message: "Processing possibly incompletely. Please check the output file." I did that and the end is missing, in both m2ts and ts. Original file: 1,28Go, m2ts: 94'088 Ko, ts: 90'416 Ko.
Then, I run the errors analysis as you suggested, and I got the same message.
I did not understand the next step, so I did not do it, sorry: "please transform the error definitions into cut definitions. You can do this by selecting those and press a button below the definition list."
I am going to send you a support request.
Thanks again for your help.

I am trying to send you the report, but every time that I click on "Finish the support request" (after having downloaded and run the tester), I have first the following message:
"The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process", I click "OK" and then "Then files are uploaded to Haenlein-Software, please wait" but nothing moves, nothing is downloaded, I have the same screens for more than 1 hour.
What should I do?
Thanks in advance.
Kindest regards.

Hm… this is sadly referred to the same situation.
Well in that case just restart your PC, start the software and make the support request immediately.
I would guess that the crashing process still touches a file which should be used during the support request process. But only one is allowed.
By restarting the PC this crashed process is surely gone.
Best regards
