Hi there!.
I'm trying to decrypt recordings of DVB-T2 broadcasts made with an Opentel set top box.
The device brand: OPENTEL
Device Model: HTM1
Service type: DVB-T2
The device records to any storage media connected to the zapper's USB port, and records in the \DVR folder,
3 files per program: .IFO, .MPG and .META
Here is one example:
El negocio. Temporada@@`166150121390.ifo
El negocio. Temporada@@`166150121390.mpg
El negocio. Temporada@@`166150121390.mpg.meta
The .meta file contains metadata. The .mpg file lacks any mpeg headers. it's not even a .TS (transport stream).
I am assuming there's some kind of encryption based on data stored in the .ifo file (which is binary).
I have uploaded a .rar file containing the 3 short files above (it's less than 10 MB, the intro for a tv programme), if anyone can help analyze them and come up with a way to decrypt or integrate such support with Haenlein DVR Studio Pro 2

Thanks in advance for any help...

Recordings made by Opentel DVB-T2 tuner cannot be opened
Re: Recordings made by Opentel DVB-T2 tuner cannot be opened
I found no tool being able to playback your 10 MB file.
It doesn't show any video info in media info as well.
Can you play it with any software player?
Might it be encrypted?

Exactly, no software playback tool works. That's why I was hoping your software might be able to decrypt it.Sascha hat geschrieben:I found no tool being able to playback your 10 MB file.

Apparently each Set Top Box recording can only be played back on the same device where it was created.
I was hoping that the decryption key was somehow stored inside the .IFO or .meta files
Since your software contains a long list of supported DVB-T2 tuners I hoped this was a common approach used by all devices offering PVR functionality.

We don't have H.265 support by now.
Due to H.265 support of VLC I guess the recording might be encrypted.
We cannot decrypt it due to legal limitations.
You may find a way to get the recording decrypted or make recordings in general in a non encrypted way.
