High Definition Mpeg

Can i capture HD material from my receiver as well?

Is it correct, that I cannot burn directly to a BD recorder, cause they are not supported at the moment?

Can I still use the captured material to proceed burning it with my regular BD recorder/burn program (cyberlink powerproducer)?

This only works if the HD stream is encoded in MPEG-2. If it is encoded in H264 (most TV-channels use that) then DVR-Studio does not support it.

There are no plans to support H264 in the near future.

But BD recorders are supported already, but I'm not sure if the media are detected the correct way. But if you like to check, just try. But right now it doesn't make a lot of sense to burn a normal DVD-Structure on a BD. I'm pretty sure the BluRay player will refuse to show anything.

Thanx for the quick response.
Well, BD-Rs are quite expensive anyhow, but it would be nice, for special occations - to be able to even save those films on a BD.
