distrorted picture on dvd

Hi, I've transferred a film recording from topfield 5800 to dvd. The original was 4:3 and 704x576. The dvd plays ok on one stand alone player, but on another (which will usually play anything) the picture is badly distorted, with horizontal lines and muliple images across the screen.

I've tried re-running the wizard with 4:3 and 16:9 and also with the 'non conformable image solution' and 'green block solution' in place, with no difference.

I've made sure that the format is 4:3 704x576 throughout.

What am I doing wrong?

If the "green blocks" fix did not help I can only guess the problem might be related to the used DVD media.
Maybe you can try to burn with slower buring speed or use different DVD media.
