Burning to DVD-R results in a fully useable disk - watchable via the PC and DVD player. Burning to DVD-RW results in a disk that is not playable in my DVD player. Is this just a function of my specific DVD player? Should some makes of DVD player recognise RW disks? It would be very nice if RW disks could be played as of course they would then be re-useable and there would be fewer -R 'Beer Mats' arising due to unnacceptable results due to unsatisfactory edits or authoring. Any ideas please?

Bobonong,
you can reduce the number of unusable DVDs by disablen "burn DVD" on the first page of the DVD-wizard. It will then stop at the end of the DVD-authoring process and the final DVD data is available in the VIDEO_TS folder. Leave DVR-Studio Pro open. Now start file explorer, open the VIDEO_TS folder and double-click on the VIDEO_TS.IFO file. Normally your software DVD player should start and you can test the DVD and see if everything is ok.
If that's the case, return to DVR-Studio Pro and press "burn DVD" on the last page of the DVD-wizard which should still be open.
