Authoring DVD takes forever

Using my evaluation copy of DVR-Pro I have made one successful DVD of a half hour programme.

Today I tried to save a whole movie but at the 'Authoring DVD' stage it seems to stall and right now the message says "Elapsed 326 minutes remaining ca. 314 minutes".

What could be wrong?

do you use a transfer module, or is the film stored on the local harddisk of your PC?

I first transferred the film from my Humax to the PC hard drive.

I have just experimented with another movie, and successfully created VOB files. Two large ones which between them contain the whole film, and several others containing 0 bytes!

After checking them I then tried to burn to DVD but each time I get two buttons appearing at the top of the screen 'OK' and 'Abbruch'. The program seems to pause at this point, but clicking 'OK' just ends the process without burning the disc.

This is hard work!

If you open files with 0 Bytes of course it won't work. Or die you mean something else?
