Deinterlace
Deinterlace
Can I deinterlace the file I've got in the preview window in DVR-studio pro 1.41. I'v got lines in the picture. I can see it clearly when something moves quickly in the movie. You can also see it in the DVD.
No, DVR-Studio does not change anything in the content of the recordings. Deinterlacing a screenshot is not possible because then you would need two directly consecutive frames. As we can only decode I-frames which is about every 12 to 15 frame the difference would be so big that it wouldt't make sense.
You can try to shrinkt the resolution of the screenshot with good-old MS-Paint by 50%. This will leavy out every 2nd line and so "deinterlace" the picture. But of course the quality will be worse.

Deinterlace
That I can understand, but why does the software change the picture when I can see the picture correct in my box?
Deinterlace
A clarification. It's not only the screenshot, even the whole film is interlaced. I've send a testfile to Ralf Haenlein.
@mosbif
all recordings sent by satellite are interlaced. There is nothing you can change about this, I'm sorry. If you notice this on DVD more than directly from the Box the DVD-player might not do the deinterlacing correctly. If you have viewed the DVD on the PC then there, too the deinterlace has to be done by the software DVD player. I recommend WinDVD, there you can switch this on and off.
