I'm sorry, DVR-Studio can only process recordings based on the MPEG-2 format. The new HDTV h264 standard is not supported. There are no plans to integrate that into the current DVR-Studio or DVR-Studio Pro products.

Of course we will investigate support for h264, but it would be a totally different product.

it is very important for dvr-studio to support the very new format because every day new sat receivers come out!!!!

Maybe, but only few people are using ist and the number of HDTV-channels is very small.

Plus it's unlikely that when HD receiving and recording become more commonplace, that the destination format will be Standard DVD !!!
