Bad sound quality
Bad sound quality
I've used the DVR Studio pro evaluation version to try and burn .hav- files from a Handan receiver, using the DVD wizard. Everything else works fine, but the sound quality on the DVD is really bad - any views as to what might be the problem ?
The sound quality is identical to that what was recorded. DVR-Studio Pro does not re-encode anything, no video and no audio bit is changed. The whole process is just repacking from MPEG-Transport Stream to MPEG-Program Stream, but the content is the same.
In which way the sound quality is bad? Is it noisy or stuttering or playing too fast?

Hi - done some further testing and found that it seems to be the DVD player that does it - tried in an other player and the sound was OK. I still wonder why that is, since also the DVD player with the problem has a completely normal sound quality when playing store bought DVD's. The problem is not in the DVR Studio software, but was hoping you might be familiar with it and know the solution.
The sound problem is just disturbance - like a bad phone line or slightly untuned radio; timing and everything else is OK.

Hello,
I encounter the same problem when making a DVD from .ts files.
I tried to burn recordings from different TV channels, with the same result (but found no channel with AC3 soundtrack).
My DVD player is a Sigmatek XM 380 pro, which plays almost all video formats (tried the DVD on a Peekton player as well, using the seperate analog sound output, but same result).
Only my PC computer can play back the DVD without any sound distorsion.
Thanks.
