For some reason DVR Studio Pro keeps crashing when trying to make a dvd with the wizard. It also crashes (just disappears) when trying to make mpeg file.
Is there a log file or something where I could track the error??
Source files are .hav from Handan DVB-C6000.
[edited: the program crashes when trying to create VOB file]

This happened with recordings from ITV and Skandinavian broadcasts. Please try the Version 1.08 Beta3. I know it's in german only right now, but just to make sure that was the problem.

Thank you! Beta really works, doesn't crash - and don't worry, my highschool German helps me out just fine
The troubled broadcast was in deed Finnish Broadcasting Company's channel 2.
Thanks a lot.

Well it seems like more than a week has passed. My school german doesn't help me out here in this program, so please with lot's of sugar on top, we need an at least partially translated software.
I think I tried all alternatives but I really doesn't get it to do what I like - to include two tv shows of about one hour each on the same dvd. The last thing i tried was to use the DVD assistant (I understand that!!!) and not to encode the dvd. After that i try to include both of the "dvd"s into one in nero although that seems kinda stupid, and somehow in one of all of my tries I managed to include half of the second file into the first one, and in that case I cold burn the projecy from the DVD assistant, but now I cant go there anymore, so PLEASE please give me an englsh version that works for us scandinavians...
Best Regards
Peo

Dear Peo,
I try to help a little with your 2 Film Problem.
1. Open First File
2. Press the Button on the main Page of dvd-Pro called
Zum Stapel hinzufügen which means ADD to the Batch
3. Open Second File
4. Press Button again.
If you want zo remove one of the films press:
Vom Stapel entfernen ->Remove from Batch
I hope this helps,
regards Jürgen

I'm sorry, that there is still no english version available right now. I cannot tell you exactly, when I have finished the release version (english included). There are some (rare) compatibility-issues with the created DVD-images right now on some DVD-players I want to resolve first. It's not that I don't have the time or vocabulary to translate those few sentences.
But this problem is totally eating up my time right now.

peoe..
Have you tried babelfish (
http://babelfish.altavista.com/tr)? - it helped me to translate some of the buttons. No Swedish, but you could translate German-English...

@All:
The english version of 1.08Beta4 is available now for download. There might be some not translated texts or misplaced controls (too small etc.), but it should be a big improvement for you.

Just tested the new english beta version (1.08Beta4 ) with finnish brodcast stored with Topfield ( rec ).
Unfortunately it still crashes immediately after the demux phase.
It won't even create the video_ts directory anymore. The earlier english version at least did start writing a vob file. Haven't tried the german beta 4 version, as assume both work the same way. No such problems with german beta3, other than my stand alone dvd player ( Arcam DV88 ) doesn't understand the created menu, so have not used that feature anymore.

@vjhl2000:
please send me a short bit of that recording. We have a tool to do this:
http://www.haenlein-software.com/HS/dow ... Sample.zip
You can switch the language setting of the tool.
Please email both files created by that tool.

oops, sorry false alarm. Nothing wrong with demuxing..
I had previously created vobs etc in the F:\DVD_BURN\VIDEO_TS directory, then had used DVD-Shr*** to compress the data and new files were stored to F:\DVD_BURN\SHRINK\VIDEO_TS. Later the dvd was burnt from that directory and finally all those directories were deleted.
Now when I tested this new beta4 version, I didn't notice that I still had this F:\DVD_BURN\SHRINK\VIDEO_TS address from the previous burning session. The program just could not handle directory that did not exist.
Retested the software again and now it seems to work.
Sorry

I'm glad the demuxing works. I'm not so happy, that a not exisitng directory still is a problem. I implemented a check to avoid this...
Did you remove the directory while DVR-Studio Pro was running? Or before you started it?
