Hi guys !

I'm currently testing DVR Studio HD 0.94 and wanted to cut out comercials ads from a HD recording I made some days ago.

I'd like to know if it is possible to set Cut-In & Cut-Out gaps smaller than 0.5 ...

I can't set anyything else than In=1.17.5 or In=1.18.0

Any way to set In=1.17.6 for example ?

Thanks for the replies !

Sorry LePouSAT,

thats impossible. We only can set a start or end cut to the start of a GOP. (first full frame)

Ok but how can some programs like H264TScutter can set Cut-In & Cut Out at any frame ?

Because if I have to set the cut in at the first GOP, I will certainly lose a little part of the movie/show I want to edit ...

Any way to cut perfectly at the exact point I want ?

Hello LePouSAT,

the H264TS Cutter has the same logik as DVR-Studio HD.

I am sure, because the author of the H264TS Cutter is our Tobias. He is also the developer of DVR-Studio HD.

Perhaps I'm wrong about the proggie but I'm sure that there is one little program that can set Cut-In & Cut-Out at any frame of the video ...

Anyway, that's too bad I won't be able to do so with DVR-HD ...

Hello LePouSAT,

it is true you can set the frame type in the h264ts_cutter to all kind of frames and it will cut at these frames.
the problem with these cut files is that the most players will not show any frames before the next I(DR) frame in this stream and so you should have the same result as if you use DVR Studio HD.
May be some players can show you some frames before the first I(DR) frame but it depends of the player.

I'm keeping on trying the 0.94 Beta release.

But I'm getting time to time a problem. Sometimes, the recordings from my DM800HD can't be loaded by the program, so no editing possible.

And second problem, even if I set Cut-In and Cut-Out in the program (on files that can be opened !!), it doesn't cut either at the wrong "Cut In" position, or at the wrong "Cut Out" ...

Any ideas about the 2 problems ?

The default cut setting of DVR Studio HD use a inverse cut.
That means you define the part which should be cut out of the file.

(You can change this to "normal" cut behavior like in H264TS_Cutter in the setting menu of DVR Studio HD)

Yes I know about the "cutting method" ...

But, my problem is that it cuts out something like 1 second after the position Iset ... I need tom ake several tries to get the right cutting position ...

Quite weird :-(
