DVR-Studio Pro not showing the right content?
DVR-Studio Pro not showing the right content?
I have purchased DVR-Studio Pro and have transfered a few recordings from my Dilog DT-550. Recordings were transfered with USb-downloader.
This has worked fine.
Recently i transfered a recording and opened it in DVR-Studio were everything seemed OK, the recording seemed OK to be burnt on a DVD.
However when I watched the burnt DVD it contained ANOTHER recording from my PVR, a music video, which did NOT appear in DVR-Stdudio??
I removed this Music-video from my PVR, transfered the "original recording" again. All seemed OK in DVR Studio, when I glanced at the recording..NO music video appeared......So I burnt one more DVD...BUT the same music video appeared again, instead of my recording???
Why doesnt DVR Studio Pro work? This has costed me 4 DVD's as of now.
The recording is NOT encrypted.....
Please advise

@birbjo
this is strange. First of all: try to use DVD-RW or disable DVD burning until the problem is solved. Instead you can open the DVD-content in the VIDEO_TS folder directly to check if the right video is in. You can look up the path to the VIDEO_TS folder on the second page of the DVD-wizard.
I have three ideas that might have caused the problem:
1. another recording is in the batch-processing list, additional to the recording you want to have on DVD
2. The filename of the recording matches that of an older recording
3. You disabled the "demultiplex" step on the first page of the DVD-wizard. So the last demuxed content will be used instead of new one.

Hi!
You mean that I could use the DVR-Studio program without burning A DVD? Would that be the "Create MPEG File" in the program?
(Have no DVD-RW-disc, unfortunately).
The "batch-processing" is not checked, so I don't use it.(and it's empty too anyway).
The name could match that of an olderrecording? Possible! Is there any temp-files created that I could clear? Where might I find these? There's NO files on the place where the transfered recordings are stored after transfering.
Disabled DEMUX? No, that is still checked, to be used....
So the mystery still remains.....but I have feeling that Your Point No 2 is most interesting.

Now this has happened again......the .hav-file that I process doesn't
"match" the created VIDEO_TS-files!!!!
There MUST be some TEMP-files stored somewhere, that interferes
with the create DVD.process!!
I'm transfering a movie, "White Nights" and the created VIDEO_TS -file shows a 14 second long distorted cut from "Midsummer Murders"!
The original file is some 3,5Gb large and the largest VTS_01_1.VOB-file
is only some 180MB large....14 seconds long!!
WHY? What can I do?
PLEASE HELP!

OK, now I have "demultiplexed"......
Got a whole number of messages like
Detected TS packet sequence error @0x00000000 23FE0E30 , where the red text differed
and only 1 row at the end like:
Not a valid TS-packet found at position 0x00000000 24162C22
can any conclusions be drawn from this?

Hi!
Well, as suspected, no change if I skipped the iniatial Cut-sequence...same problem.
Yes, in the receiver all is well, I can watch the movie there without problem.
Ok , I can accept that sometimes things doesn't work as suspected, but the thing that makes me a bit "irritated" is the fact that I can see the movie within DVR Studio Pro, and YET the created DVD-files contains something completely different....
There seems to be some sort of information that DVR Studio Pro uses during the creation of the "DVD-files" that causes another, discarded file
to be used.
