• Producer’s name and website.
Humax
www.humaxdigital.com
• Which firmware version is installed on the device?
PXCIR 1.00.10
• What kind of interface does the receiver dispose of?
USB 2.0 (although not at full speed)
• Is a special software required to select the receiver’s harddisk using the receiver’s interface?
The original supplied software (Media eLinker) is slow. An alternative is HumaxMediaController, found at http://www.enigma.eclipse.co.uk/humax/H ... roller.htm
• Is Windows able to read the receiver’s harddisk if mounted into the PC?
Haven't tried as I'm still in the warranty period and HumaxMediaController gives acceptable transfer speed.
• Do you have full access to the recordings if the receiver is connected to the PC?
I need to transfer the files to the PC first, before I can do anything on the PC.
• How does the receiver handle records of pay TV broadcasting stations? Are they recorded decryptedly?
As far as I can tell, recordings are stored decrypted. I can't test unfortunately as I don't have any PayTV channels anymore
• What file extensions does the receiver use (.TS .REC .DS .VID .AVR ...)?
.TS
• Are large recording files going to be divided automatically if exceeding certain sizes (1 GB, 2 GB or 4 GB)?
The files are not split automatically
• How are the file extensions carried on afterwards (e.g.: .mpg, .mpg1, .mpg2... or .ts, .ts.001, .ts.002 ...)?
not applicable
• If you cut a file and store this back into the receiver, the receiver play this file without problems?
Haven't tried yet.
• Do you know a link to a forum supporting this receiver model?
www.hummy.org.uk is more geared toward the T-series, but is certainly helpfull
