Problems with movies on my Dreambox 7000

Hello everybody,

I would like to buy your software but I want before to clarify some problem I have with the transfer option of the software.

I own a Dreambox 7000. I record some movies on this machine. Then I want to make a DVD from this movie with DVR-Studio Pro. The problem is that I can't see all the movies that are recorded on the hard disk of the Dreambox.

When I go on the Dreambox with a FTP client all my movies are viewable and I can download them.

So what should I do to see all the movies from inside DVR-Studio?

Hi Pascal,

this happens when files are larger than 2Gbyte. This is a restricton of the SAMBA-Server that is used to read the files by the transfer module (not FTP). You can configure your Dreambox, so it splits files into pieces of 2GByte automatically. This parameter can be found in one of the menus (I don't know the english name, sorry).
This won't change the visibility of your existing recordings. I'm sorry you have to transfer those to the PC first by FTP. But all new recordings are ok then.

Btw, hope that the future Samba's versions will be able to manage files of more than 2 Giga.
