You don't get much breathing room with the Common Courtesy Program. It's a one-day sprint, not the kind of thing you leave for later. The job is simple on paper: unlock Kerry Wood, Carlos Peña, Jorge Soler, and Trevor Story before the timer runs out. If you do, the reward pile is worth the push, especially if you're already stacking packs, XP, or even keeping an eye on MLB The Show 26 marketplace while building out Diamond Dynasty. The fastest way in is through the Moments. They're short, direct, and usually much less annoying than people expect. Don't overthink them. Just restart fast if a challenge goes sideways and move on.



Start with the easy wins
Moments should be your first stop because they give you momentum right away. Wood's stuff is built around pitching control and strikeouts, so don't waste pitches trying to force weak contact. Go after Ks. With Peña and Soler, it's all about driving the ball. Sit on pitches you can lift and forget anything on the edges if the challenge doesn't demand it. Story is the one that usually feels smoother. A few clean swings, maybe some speed on the bases, and you're through. Most players can clear the full set in under half an hour if they stay locked in. That's a big deal in a program this short.



Turn every game into mission progress
Once the cards start unlocking, the real grind is PXP and stat tracking. This is where a lot of players waste time without noticing. If one of the program guys isn't in your lineup, you're basically playing dead innings. Put Story near the top so he gets extra trips to the plate. Keep Soler and Peña in run-producing spots where they can stack RBIs and extra-base hits. Wood belongs in your rotation right away. Play vs. CPU is usually the cleanest route because it's predictable, and Conquest works too if you like knocking out map goals at the same time. Make the stat grind easier on yourself
If you still need hits, homers, or total bases, drop the difficulty to Rookie and pick a smaller park. That one tweak saves a ton of frustration. A lot of people try to grind in bigger stadiums and then wonder why warning-track fly balls keep showing up. For Wood, chase strikeouts instead of quick outs. High heat, then something breaking just under the zone, still works. You'll notice CPU hitters flail at that combo more often than they should. Also, check the mission screen after every game or two. It sounds obvious, but loads of players lose time because they assume they're closer than they really are.



Keep the clock in mind
A clean run usually looks like this: knock out Moments first, spend the next stretch farming PXP, then finish whatever stats are left with a lineup built around plate appearances and power. Don't bounce into modes that don't help. Don't save Wood for later. And don't leave one card half-finished while chasing another. This program rewards simple planning more than anything fancy.
