544x576 resolution problem

Hi, I have a lot of films recorded on a topfield 5800 at 544x576 resolution and I'm having trouble transferring them to dvd. Other resolutions (720x576 etc) work fine.

I have 2 questions regarding your 'fix' in the help file:
1. Does your "add sequence Display Extension" fix for this problem apply to any dvd player which can't display non-standard resolutions, or just to Pioneer?

2. With regard to the second part of the fix "Additionally, there has to be placed a short record in a DVD conformable resolution straight before the wanted recording (a black image lasting for one second is enough)", how do you do this?

the Pioneer fix maybe does work for some other DVD players, but no guarantees. It even doesn't work for some Pioneer players, so it is just a last resort.

If you are using the DVD-wizard of DVR-Studio Pro, then you do not need the short recording. This will be done by the wizard itself. But it is important that you set your DVD player to "Pan & Scan" in order the video being displayed correctly.
But maybe it doesn't work with your player anyway...
