We'll definitely keep mobile at top of our thoughts when creating new content to be used in RuneScape. Farms owned by players that were released in the last year, were created to be played at the toilet and checking in on brief sessions to check what you're strawberry farms are faring. We also have a group committed to the enjoyment of engaging in this game by taking away friction points, and making sure the game's opening is polished and the primary reason with OSRS gold to that is mobility.

What is the future plan for RuneScape in the wake of this move? Are there other projects in the pipeline?

We want users to feel they are able to log into RuneScape anytime they like. This was the motivation behind RuneScape Mobile, and it will remain so with certain things we're planning in the near and longer term. It makes so much sense to play a game like RuneScape that you can gain progress in a short amount of time and everything you do enhances and enriches your character. There's more than 20 years of content included in the game, and yet it's not an enormous large, bloated and heavy game, which makes it difficult to adapt on other platforms. I believe you'll see many announcements about this in the near future along with regular updates to the game for players to sink their hands on.

We hope you enjoy Desperate Measures! We're thrilled that the game will reveal some of the mysteries that have been tangled their ways throughout Desperate Times, Anachronia, as well as additional updates, we're more thrilled about the storylines that start by completing this mission. We hope you'll take part in Desperate Measures and experience a rising momentum to the stories we're planning reveal soon, including Elder God Wars Dungeon, and the magnitude that these new updates will have. RuneScape Devs Talk Creating Desperate measures for fans during Quarantine.

The current coronavirus epidemic has been extremely disruptive in the world of film and entertainment. According to an 2.500-person survey conducted from the Game Developers Conference ahead of its summer convention that is exclusively digital coming up in July, a third of developers reported that COVID-19 was the cause to delays. The most prominent delay in recent times was the release of Double Fine's Psychonauts 2. that was granted an updated release date during the Microsoft's Xbox Series X showcase Thursday. In the current craze, Jagex is hoping to give its players something to keep them amused with the RuneScape Desperate Update to Measures.

Desperate Measures is a new component of RuneScape's Elder Gods questline, which has been under development since. The main storyline has been around for a while, but each piece must be approved by the relevant stakeholders prior to beginning the development process so that the information can be made available in "accessible and engaging" ways. RSgoldfast interviewed Jagex Director of Design David Osborne, Senior Games Designer Tim Fletcher, and Lead Content Developer James Crowther about how RuneScape is driven by its fans and how the work for Desperate measures has been impacted by global events.

The Desperate Measures update, which has been officially released today was discussed during the development process of the counterpart Desperate Times. The place it is on the development timeline was "shuffled around" because of other projects such as the addition of the newest skill in RuneScape Archaeology in March according to Crowther. This means Jagex was undergoing the new quest's development after the epidemic to buy RuneScape gold was in full swing and the situation was "less than perfect."

"Creating content is an artform, and this kind of creativity benefits greatly from having people around to share ideas with," Crowther said.
