Problems with compression

Hello,

I would make a DVD from a ts file. The real size of the file is 5976 Mb. The DVR-Studio Pro will of course use DVR-Compress to resize the movie down to 4484 Mb, size of the DVD I putted in my writer.

After the compress job I have the following message:

Data size statistics:
Estimated size: 5703Mb
Real size: 5976Mb
Using DV-Compress
Compressed size: 4489Mb
Writing DVD: (Intern)
Media size: 4484Mb
!!! Titles larger than inserted media !!!

Well, all the job is falling down just for 5 KB

Where is the bug?

Which version of the software are you using (DVR-Studio and DVR-Compress)? Older Versions sometimes caused that problem.

Both version are the latest one:

DVR-Studio Pro: 1.75
DVR-Compress: 1.11

Both one are english

How long is the recording, I mean in hours and minutes? There are certain mathematical restrictions to compression, where no further compression is possible.
